The Channel Tunnel trains run from Folkestone to Calais. Folkestone is just a few miles from Dover and is well situated on the motorway network, so is very easy to reach. The Channel Tunnel car trains are operated by Eurotunnel. These are easy to use "drive on, drive off" trains, operating a little like a ferry, but going under the Channel through the Channel Tunnel. There are alternatives to using the Eurotunnel trains, such as a ferry from Dover to Calais, Boulogne or Dunkirk, or the Eurostar passenger trains from London to Paris and across Europe.

Eurostar operate the passenger trains that run through the Channel Tunnel. They go from London, Ashford or Ebbsfleet in England, to Paris, Lille, Calais, Avignon, Eurodisney, Brussels and and over 70 European destinations. London to Paris takes 2 hours 15 minutes, and fares start at just 69 return.

The Eurotunnel terminal at Folkestone is easy to find and drive to, at Junction 11A on the M20 motorway.

Where is the Calais Channel tunnel terminal?

The Eurotunnel terminal at Calais is just as easy to find. It is directly on the main A16 motorway, which runs along the coastline connecting all the major ports. The terminal is referred to as Eurotunnel Calais Coquelles International Terminal, and is well signposted (in French, look out for the signs "Tunnel Sous La Manche").
